About Anibrary

Anibrary (Animal + Library) is an open, non-commercial knowledge platform that collects anonymized AI-generated pet triage results alongside real veterinarian feedback.

Our Mission

AI should bring a good impact on animals too. It should be serving all kinds of life, not just human life. The veterinary world has far fewer resources, smaller datasets, and less research funding than human medicine. An open, community-driven knowledge base can help close that gap — not by replacing veterinary professionals, but by giving them and the people who care for animals better tools and better data.

How It Works

1AI Triage
A pet owner uses Bevetu's AI triage tool to describe symptoms and receives an urgency assessment with possible conditions to discuss with their vet. They opt in to share the anonymized case to Anibrary.
2Vet Visit
The owner visits a real veterinarian. After the visit, they return to Anibrary and add what the vet actually found — the confirmed condition, treatment, and outcome. Alternatively, the vet can scan a QR code to quick-verify.
3Knowledge Grows
Each validated case builds the open dataset — pairing AI predictions with professional outcomes. Over time, this becomes a resource for veterinary research, education, and AI improvement.

Guiding Principles

AI assists, never replaces

All output is advisory. Veterinary confirmation is always recommended.

Transparency over claims

We publish what we know, including where the AI is wrong.

Open by default

The dataset, methodology, and performance metrics are public resources.

Respect for the profession

Veterinarians are partners, not competitors. Their feedback makes the data valuable.

Privacy

Privacy by design. No owner name, no pet name, no vet name, no clinic identity, no exact dates of visits are stored. Ages are bucketed into ranges, weights into ranges, and breeds into groups. The dataset is anonymized at the point of collection.
